Through fellowship at work(bsnl)!

Dear sisters and brothers,

This is H. I thank God for the opportunity to write my testimony. I was born and raised in a Hindu-Saurashtra family. Though my parents were from a Hindu background, they were not that keen about worshipping idols and follow the traditions. My mom’s father was an atheist, PhD scholar in Mathematics and even I have never seen my dad going to temples or associate himself with any rituals. He used to attend Periyar meetings. Even though we lived in a joint family structure with many relatives and cousins around, I was all alone most of my childhood. My parents went through a lot of problems and trials from day 1 of their marriage (as theirs is a love marriage). There were huge quarrels and fights and I used to cry a lot asking God, why such things are happening, and I don’t want my parents to get separated. My mom worked in BSNL from a very young age until she retired. She learnt about BSNL Christian ladies fellowship, and she used to attend regularly and share her pains and prayer requests. God with all His grace saved my mom through that fellowship, and she secretly started attending ACA church in Purasaiwakkam. She used to take me as well without my father’s knowledge. Slowly I started understanding the God of the Bible, We used to tell my father that we are going to market on Sunday morning and then attend church and come. He came to know about it and tore the bible and sometimes he used to hit my mom as well for going to church. He had bitter experience with few Christian people, so he hated Christians at that time. 

My mom was very strong in her faith, and she saw our Lord’s miracles happening every single day and her prayers being answered. I was a witness to all these miracles, and I accepted Christ as my savior as well. My father started to see the blessings of God and he started to allow us to go to church and he used to drop us in his vehicle and go back home. One aunty from my mom’s fellowship used to call me over telephone every day and pray with me and talk to me and show God’s love. I loved her so much. 


One fine night as were asleep, my father suddenly developed shooting pain in his leg and felt pain in his chest as well. We were very much worried whether it could be a heart attack. My mom immediately called that aunty over phone, and she prayed for my father, and he was relieved from the pain right away. Through this incident, my dad understood the healing power of our God and accepted Christ as his savior as well. My mom waited for my dad to accept Christ, and both got baptized the same day and I got baptized two years later. 


When my parents started to look for a Christian life partner for me, we had lot of hurdles. Many traditional Christians were not ready to accept us as we are saved from another faith and even, they tried to look for Christian profiles within Saurashtra and nothing worked out. I started to become very anxious about my marriage but finally we all decided to fast and pray as a family and within 10 days our Lord showed us a family within the same church we attended and by the mere grace of God I got married to a godly life partner in 2012. I am blessed with two children and God has blessed us in every way. 

Yes, there are trials and issues, but we see the hand of God and the Holy Spirit guiding us every day.

Through a school friend!

I was saved in my boarding school in Thiruchengode. In hostel 3 of us Me, Farhana & Nisha were friends, I am Hindu , Farhana is Muslim and Nisha is Christian , sometime both of them discussed about god and what is true like that.. I was not aware of what they are talking but slowly their conversation made me to think who is the true god and that time I came to know Jethifa sis who is my senior and school topper , I always admired her character , she will be very silent , she always pray to god , very humble and if I ask any doubts she never hesitated to answer though she was busy .
